Question Mark
As my inner voice speaks
Out to you my divine mother
Sometimes in whispered
Shallowed breaths
Sometimes in con
Versation
Sometimes in loud
Exasperation
It seeks but one end
To know you better
I knew you completely
Before the sentences
Were placed in my mind
With each word
Implanted by script-givers
A memory was cut away
Forgotten like the feeling
Of fingers the moment lifted
Distanced like a leaf upon the breeze
Screaming silently for its tree
Replaced by an illusion
Illustrated in letters
My inner voice speaks
Silently into the world
Until I know not who
Translates for them
A wink a nod
A two fingered comma
I must have said the right
Thing
Because it hurts
Within my heart
Thus they sneak away
With the treasures hoarded
Between the thump and the thump
The remembrances
Once stored in the womb
Of stars of home of you
That inner voice of mine
Or is it yours
Instead
Refuses to go away
Louder and persistent
Repeating you know me
Remember?
